Description
Green Leopard Wrasse (Macropharyngodon meleagris), also known as the Leopard Wrasse or Guinea Fowl Wrasse, is a highly attractive marine aquarium fish famous for its intricate leopard-like markings and vibrant coloration. Mature males can develop especially striking shades of green, blue and red, making this wrasse a spectacular addition to a reef aquarium.
This species is generally peaceful with other suitable marine fish but can be sensitive to changes in its environment. It is therefore best recommended for experienced marine aquarists who can provide a mature, stable aquarium with established live rock, natural microfauna and a suitable sand bed.

Aquarium & Care
A large, mature marine aquarium with plenty of swimming space and a deep, soft sand bed is recommended. The Leopard Wrasse may bury itself in the sand when sleeping or when frightened, so an appropriate substrate is essential. Efficient biological filtration and stable water parameters are also important.
Feed a varied, high-quality marine diet including suitable frozen foods such as mysis shrimp, brine shrimp and other small crustacean-based foods. Frequent feeding can help meet its nutritional requirements, particularly after introduction to the aquarium.
